Dont bother buying pro audio unless you are serious about doing parties legal or not (by this i mean do not spend serious money on something unless u r going to use or are prepared to loose it!)
I like old skool trance that they used to play on Radio 1 and Vibe FM years ago, i hate all types of hard trance apart from a few of the new progressive tunes that are coming out, mainly the ones made by one of my mates but there u go!
Some of the new techno out at the minute is banging, the old stuff has got pretty boring tbh.

I wasnt blaming the technology tbh mate, i was just pointing out that DJs use their expensive equipment badly, and theres DJs using their old and battered decks and still ripping it up.
Fair enuf the standard gear has moved on to CDJs because there are more possibilities with the digital format, but it would be nice if DJs could use their CDJs like they use vinyl.
The only time i would use a CDJ wud be to mix a tune that ive made on the pc or a tune that doesnt exist on vinyl, and even then it makes me cringe. All my friends have the same vue aswell, “only if we have to”.
Basicly if u wanna mix on CDJs go ahead but i know i like black plastic and thats the way its guna stay, i dont see the point in goin out to spend another 1 and half grand on CDJs and 4 channel mixer and then to spend weeks downloading mp3s onto a computer that i wud have to buy aswell. its much easier for me to stick with my vinyl and decks, and continue using the computer at work and college.
Hardstyle….Im more into the broken beats mate! Anything Hard isnt realy my cup of tea, all those repetitive kick drums, the repetative snares are wot i like!

When using CDJs, ther is a certain lack of skill involved. Also you cant mix your tunes properly just by looking at the track, coz u cant see it, its on a cd. With vinyl you can see the pattern of the tune and mix your tunes together in so many ways.
Not saying CDJs are easy to mix on, but the majority of people who use em dont mix properly. I was at a BIG event in a club this weekend with 6 sound systems and they were all using CDJs (and vinyl but not much at all), i think i heard about 2 tunes mixed together for the whole 9 hours. The rest were stopped and played pretty much every time, and 3 or 4 djs managed to push the wrong RPM button on their “PHAT” pioneer CDJs that they dont know how to use properly. Pisses me off when you see DJs playing shit at events where they get paid and you know you can mix better than that and you just hav to stand and listen to them.Anyways, a good way to get sets at parties is to do wot your doing now on this forum, and also get into music production, make your own tunes and spam record labels with “the freshest techno to see the light of day this year” or sumthing along those lines. You get the idea realy, play phat tunes, play them well, make sure people hear them, dont give up, and you will get to play out at events sooner or later.

The Psytrance tent was phat, especially when it was raining because everyone went into the psytrance tent because it was the biggest and then everyone starts dancing!!
The Ninja Hippies tent was super trippy inside, when u stepped out of the door it was like walking from one world to another, i had sum long baloon trips in their!
Cant wait for next year, and this time im gonna bring my own stash if u know wot i mean!

I got caught by coppers on the way to a party with a joints worth of crystals in my grinder, when i was being questioned in the cop car i sed to the copper: “I cant beleive your nicking me for the smallest amount of weed ever” and he just goes, “well u shudnt hav dust in your grinder anyways so its your own fault”. He found green on my bro and the driver of our car, and he also caught my mate wit green on the way out of the party so now we all have reprimands!
